So the next year & a half of our lives will be one countdown after another. First our countdown to when we can turn in our application, and then we will countdown the days until we are on the waiting list...and then until we get our referral of our precious child...and then what im sure will be the best countdown of all will be the countdown until we can go & meet our baby for the first time :)
first things first though...the countdown until we can turn in our application with All Gods Children, (drumroll please)
165 days :)
we are beyond thrilled, and im hoping that the time flys by. once we are accepted with the agency it will all feel real. we are very excited about the journey and we are hoping to learn alot along the way. we are also hoping to meet other families that are in the middle of their journey through adopting as well. pray for us & for our little one!
I am a wife to the most incredible man I know. I am a daughter to the two most supportive & loving parents. I am a sister to two beautiful ladies. BUT I WILL BE...a mother soon! Follow my husband and I as we start our journey to parenthood...

It's Official!!
I was going to wait until we were closer to actually starting the process to start my blog but today was a great day filled with blessings...and it just felt right to start tonight!
So Karl & I have officially decided to adopt!! It is something that God has always laid on my heart...and after many different life experiences Karl feels like he is ready for this journey. We both feel like God has something HUGE in store for us and we can not wait to see as His plans unfold.
We have already chosen the country we will adopt from as well as the agency we will use! We have chosen Ethiopia for several reasons, the extreme poverty and the millions of innocent children that are orphaned because of diseases like HIV. Another reason we chose Ethiopia is because thats where our baby is :)
Our agency will be All God's Children International, Karl and I both found and fell in love with this agency seperately...such a God thing!
We are currently in the praying, saving & dreaming stage of our adoption journey. We are hoping to have enough money saved by this July to turn in our application and officially start the process.
So I think i mentioned earlier that today was filled with blessings, right? well Karl & I have decided that instead of looking at it as trying to save $16,000...we will save in steps, like first goal application fee, then homestudy fee, agency fee...and so on. Well we already saved our application fee and were ready to start working on that homestudy fee...well someone blessed our socks off today. We got a call from some incredible relatives and they contacted the agency today and made a donation in our name that will cover the cost of our homestudy fee...OH MY GOSH. we were speechless...and nearly crying. THANK YOU THANK YOU!! It was such a beautiful and generous gift and i can not wait to one day share that story of generosity & love with our precious little child. We are already seeing God's hands in this process and its unreal. He will make a way and we are ready for His will!
188 days until we can sign with our agency!
